Our Missions
Our church believes in tithing with our time, talents and treasures. As a
church we not only provide individuals opportunities to give and serve, we also
tithe at least 10% of our income to missions locally, nationally, and internationally.
Regardless of your passions in life, our numerous outreach opportunities provide
you with plenty of options to participate in and support. Here is a summary
of the types of mission work we do:
- Loving In the Name of Christ (LINC)
A program initiated in 2005 whose purpose is to connect people in our church willing
to serve with a ride, a gift card donation, or help with yard work – with those
in our church and our community in need of support and help.
- Community Support
We love Lodi and the surrounding communities we serve, and reach out to support
our community by helping with birthday parties at Good Samaritan Nursing Home, making
Cheer Boxes for shut-ins and neighbors in need at the holidays, having our youth
serve at the Salvation Army, and providing support to Madison area non-profit organizations
such as the Press House on the UW Madison campus.
- National Work
Our missions don’t stop with just our local communities. We also provide help
to state and national organizations. Some of the ways we serve nationally
is by taking annual mission trips, for both our youth and adults. Annually
we send money and Christmas gifts to an orphanage. We’ve also been supporting
our Troops in Iraq by sending cards, hand-made pillow cases and care packages.
- International Missions
Our mission work wouldn’t be complete without also doing work internationally.
This year we contributed thousands of dollars and over a hundred personal health
care packages to the tsunami victims. Our children have raised money and collected
school supplies to send to Africa. We also support missionaries through Gospel
for Asia, and support the spreading of God’s word through the Gideons.
